More Information about Hope's Sunday School Classes

As Hope is experiencing incredible growth, there is an ever-abundant need for Sunday school teachers to teach Hope's youth.  Please consider volunteering as a teacher or aide.  If you are interested, please contact the church office.

Here is more information about how the Sunday School program operates:

§ TIME SCHEDULE: Both Sunday Schools will run as follows:  45 minutes of class time; 5 minutes to assemble as a community; and 15 minutes for closing - a total of 65 minutes.  Parents will pick their children up directly from the closing.

§ CURRICULUM:  We will be using Group's "Hands On Bible" cirriculum which includes teacher guides, resource packs and student books.

§ COMMUNITY:  Openings  with music will be held at the beginning of Sunday School to provide a sense of community among the children.

§ TRAINING:  A training session is scheduled each fall for those teaching to give strategies to make Sunday School a positive experience.

§ SUPPORT: A substitute teacher list is  provided to teachers for flexibility they may need in fulfilling this commitment.  Basic materials (e.g., Bibles, glue, crayons, markers, pencils) will be provided in a supplies box for each classroom.  Additional materials can be found in the Education closet.

§ FUN-FILLED EDUCATION: Teachers, students and parents will learn not only Bible facts but how these facts can be applied to our daily lives.   (So you don't have to be a Biblical Scholar to lead a class!)  Please call the church if you have an inkling of interest in serving God through this ministry.
