During the school year at 9:30 AM, we provide a Sunday school learning hour for children age 3 through senior high youth.
Preschool and Elementary
Children ages 3 through grade 5 start their morning during a Sunday school opening where they see their friends of all ages. Openings include song, offerings and fun group activities. Children decide as a group which annual service project their offerings will support. Projects in the past have been sponsoring a Compassion International child, helping a third world family through Heifer International or supporting the LAMP project; Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots.
They then break out to their own grade level classroom, where they will learn through Group’s Hands-On Bible curriculum. Bible lessons are taught in a hands-on manner, engaging children through their senses; touch…taste…smell…sight…and sound. Because each lesson includes a healthy dose of discovery, children will be excited to share what they’ve learned with others
Middle School
Youth grades 6 through 8 will learn through Group’s Faith Weavers curriculum. Learning will be a family affair as this curriculum follows the church scripture schedule. Hope’s confirmation program, Sunday Night Live, strengthens Sunday morning classes in preparation of becoming a young adult.
Senior High
Youth grades 9 through 12 learn from a mixture of curriculums, open forums, and activities with topics relevant to our youth today, and what the bible says about them. Our high school group has graduated from our confirmation program, where small groups are used in learning, serving, and fellowship to create relationships and build trust that will keep them involved in the congregation and community long after they have been confirmed. This young adult class is a safe haven for the many teens, from many area high schools associated with Hope.
