Meet Pastor Brad:  Hope's Senior Pastor

Brad Gee has been Hope’s Senior Pastor since December, 1995. He is a native of Conneaut, Ohio, a small town on the shores of Lake Erie.  After graduating from Conneaut High School in 1979, he attended Allegheny College, Meadville, PA and earned a bachelor’s degree in history.  He earned his Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, Ohio and was ordained in July, 1987.  Following his ordination, he was called to serve as the pastor of All Saints Lutheran Church, Toledo, Ohio, from 1987-1990.  In January, 1991, he was called to serve as Director of Admissions at Trinity Seminary.  He served in that capacity until he was called to Hope in 1995.
Pastor Brad and his wife, Becky have been married since August, 1985.  They are blessed with three children.  Their oldest daughter, Kristen, is 19 years old and a student at Michigan State University.  Their son, Seth, is 17 years old and a student at Farmington High School.  Their youngest, Ashley, is 10 years old and a student at Flanders Elementary School.

Pastor Brad has a number of hobbies, including reading, sports of all kinds, politics, music and spending time with his family.  He especially enjoys following college basketball and football.

A Greeting from Pastor Brad

As the Senior Pastor of this community of faith, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Hope’s website.   As you explore this website, I want to offer a few thoughts for your consideration if you are searching for a church to call home.
Hope's mission statement says that the only reason this community of faith exists is for the purpose of seeking, making and being disciples of Jesus Christ in God’s church community and world.  Our mission statement helps us maintain our focus, as we seek creative and engaging ways to share the good news of Jesus through worship and the variety of programs that are part of every week at Hope.
The best way to discover what really happens in a congregation is to worship with the community at least five or six times on a Sunday morning.  Why five or six times?  I am convinced that, while first impressions can mean a lot, the second, third and fourth impressions of a congregation will give you a deeper sense of what is important to the people who gather for worship, study, service, prayer and fellowship.
Becoming part of a Christian community is a very important decision.  If you are seeking a living, growing relationship with Jesus Christ in the context of a community of people that is committed to a discipleship-centered mission, I invite you to worship with us!  Bring your questions.  Bring your concerns.  Bring your thirst to know God.  If I can address any questions or concerns you may have, please feel free to contact me at pastorbrad@hope-lutheran-church.com or call the church office at 248-553-7170.

I would welcome an opportunity to meet you.
Brad Gee, Senior Pastor
