Mealtime
A new ministry to Hope members Sometimes, a simple thing like providing a meal for someone can mean a great
deal. For people who are ill or have a sick family member, have just had surgery or have returned home from the hospital, are suffering from a chronic disease, have lost a family member, have just given birth to a child
or experiencing some kind of family transition, the gift of a home cooked meal is a welcome gift that lets them know they are thought of and cared for. Linda and Dave Percy have formed a new Hope ministry that will
coordinate volunteers in providing a meal to anyone in need. The church office will contact Dave and Linda to let them know when someone would benefit from a home cooked meal. Dave and Linda will coordinate
volunteers to cook and deliver meals. Directions to the home and other needed information will be given to the volunteer who will then call the family and arrange for a convenient time to deliver the meal. Meals will be
in non-returnable containers and can be ready to eat or provided with cooking directions.
